Terrazzo (also known as terrazzo) is a product made by mixing gravel, glass, quartz stone and other aggregates into cement binder to make a concrete product, and then grinding and polishing the surface. The terrazzo made of cement binder is called inorganic terrazzo, and the terrazzo made of epoxy binder is also called epoxy terrazzo or organic terrazzo. According to the construction process, terrazzo is divided into on-site pouring terrazzo and prefabricated plate terrazzo floor .
Traditional terrazzo has a huge market in China due to its unique advantages such as low cost, optional color mosaic, and convenient construction. There are as many as one billion square meters of terrazzo floors used in various buildings in urban and rural areas across the country.
